Builds things,
runs far,
thinks in
too many dimensions.
I'm Marco, an Italian engineer living in London. I've spent 25 years building things: VLSI circuits during my PhD, a company from scratch, infrastructure at Google, and now engineering teams.
Outside work I write code in Elixir, build side projects with data I probably shouldn't stay up late looking at, and look for excuses to be outdoors: trail running muddy ridgelines, bikepacking with a bike loaded with too many bags and not enough plan, swimming in open water cold enough to make me question my choices, and training for long-distance triathlons because apparently suffering in one discipline wasn't enough.
I read about medieval history and economics, and I'm quietly obsessed with number theory, differential geometry, and chaos theory. In another life I have a degree in archaeology and one in mathematics.
